What is USPS?
USPS ® is a private, non-profit, national organization of families and individuals who have a common love of
recreational boating. USPS is the world's largest private boating
organization. At the local level, squadrons form the core of the organization where members congregate and participate in boating activities.
USPS has set for itself several objectives: to provide an atmosphere of camaraderie among its members; to organize and execute social events that have something to do with recreational boating; to encourage participation in such activities; to provide opportunities for its members to perform community service; and to enhance the boating experience by offering an educational program that is diverse and challenging.
These objectives
offer to the public and to its members the promise of greater
enjoyment and safety in their own boating activities. In
addition, the Educational Program offers the satisfaction of
personal accomplishment, and the opportunity to share the enjoyment of boating with others.
The first step in this process is to
enroll in a Boating Safety class
